Lent and the Life-changing Magic of Tidying Up: Retreat Day 1

  • God Space 6228 Aspen Ave. Cincinnati, 45224 United States (map)

Does your life feel entangled and cluttered? Do you feel like you’re encumbered by attachments? Well, Lent is a great time to empty, detach, and draw near to God.

For this day retreat, we’ll use Lent’s invitation to simplicity and some of Marie Kondo’s insights in the life-changing magic of tidying up to open ourselves to God, detach from what holds us bound, and prepare ourselves for the holy season of Lent.

We’ll gather in prayer and reflection together, take time apart to do the practical work of decluttering, and then gather once more to share about the experience and reflect together more deeply. You’ll have the option of closing with Mass together at a local parish.

On this first day we’ll gather in prayer and reflection together, and then we’ll take several weeks on our own to do the practical and prayerful work of decluttering. On the second day, we’ll gather once more to share about the experience and reflect together more deeply. You’ll have the option of closing with Mass together at a local parish.

The day will include snacks, soft drinks, coffee and tea. Donations gratefully accepted.
