We can be filled with hope and wonder at Advent again because the Christ, God-with-us. Is. Still. With. Us. And has never left us. We long for this presence, and maybe that longing is the root of all our longings, and each year as Advent brings us to Christmas, we can remember that God does bring fulfillment to our longing.
