Go Forth: The Call Beyond Comfort, Providence Podcast Episode
/On this 2nd Sunday of Lent, we hear God’s words to Abram in Genesis: “Go forth.” Leave what is familiar. Step into the unknown. Trust the promise.
Abram makes it look simple. But if we’re honest, following God’s call rarely feels easy.
In this episode, we reflect on the tension between comfort and calling — the fear that comes with leaving what we know, and the grace that meets us when we do. From Abram’s journey to the mountaintop moment of the Transfiguration, we explore what it means to come down the mountain and step into real life, where faith becomes action and mercy becomes ordinary, daily work.
What might God be asking you to leave behind this Lent?
Where are you being invited to go forth — in your career, your relationships, your family, your community?
Going forth isn’t just about movement of the feet. It’s a posture of the heart. And wherever God sends us, God goes too.
Join us for this Lenten reflection on courage, trust, and the promise that we never walk alone.
